A Trajectory of Growth and Consolidation
The beginnings of the Merlƭn Jazz Festival Internacional had the greatest success in its creation, consolidating it into one of the most important jazz festivals in Argentina. With other ediciones consecutivas, ha convocado a more than 400 musicos de Argentina, LatinoamƩrica, Europa y Unidos, atrayendo a una audiencia cada vez mayor and expandiendo su alcance territorial.

Exploring the Rhythm of Previous Editions
Each year, the Merlin International Jazz Festival has offered a rich and diverse program, with 15 to 20 concerts across multiple venues, creating an immersive experience for jazz lovers.
The 2025 edition, held from April 7 to 13, was a milestone of consolidation and set a new standard of artistic and organizational quality.
The 2026 edition, held from April 10 to 19, was a resounding success that exceeded all expectations. With an extended duration and an even more vibrant program, it featured 25 concerts and 2 specialized workshops, bringing together renowned national and international artists.

Expanding Horizons: New Venues and Reach
The Merlin Jazz Festival is constantly expanding. For the 2026 edition, we are pleased to announce the addition of new venues that significantly broaden our geographic reach. These venues complement our traditional locations in the Comechingones Region, such as Merlo (San Luis), Carpintería, and San Javier (Córdoba).
This strategic expansion allows us to bring the magic of jazz to a wider audience throughout the country, strengthening our presence at both the regional and national levels. Each new venue will contribute to the festival's diversity, offering unique settings for concerts and cultural activities.
Master Class – Daniel ā€œPipiā€ Piazzolla
In this 8th edition, renowned drummer Daniel "Pipi" Piazzolla offered an exclusive Master Class, sharing his experience, technique, and musical vision. This event is sponsored by YAMAHA, reaffirming the festival's commitment to artistic excellence and the development of new generations of musicians.

International Recognition: Circular Culture Award
In a momentous milestone for the MerlĆ­n Jazz Festival, in 2025 we were honored with the British Council's Circular Culture Award. This prestigious award was granted after being selected from hundreds of applications from across Latin America, underscoring the quality and impact of our cultural offering.
This recognition has not only provided us with crucial funding but has also encouraged us to strengthen cultural exchange, sustainability, and the internationalization of the festival. The Circular Culture Award positions the MerlĆ­n Jazz Festival as a platform with immense global potential, allowing us to expand our vision and connect with audiences and artists around the world, reinforcing the role of Argentine jazz on the international scene.
The British Council is pleased to confirm that the Merlin Jazz Festival, directed by Alejandro Jamuz (Artistic Director) and Mario Scardapane (General Producer), has been selected as one of the festivals to benefit from the Cultura Circular 2025/26 program.
The Cultura Circular program is a British Council initiative that promotes cultural and artistic exchange between the United Kingdom and Latin America and the Caribbean, encouraging collaboration between festivals, artists, and organizations committed to sustainability and cultural development.
Being one of the festivals selected for this program represents a highly significant regional and international recognition, highlighting the project's artistic quality, its focus on training, its regional work, and its commitment to cultural sustainability. The selection of the Merlin Jazz Festival among applications from across Latin America reflects its reach, its track record, and its transformative potential for the local cultural scene.

The MerlĆ­n Jazz Festival is firmly committed to cultural and environmental sustainability. Thanks to the support of the British Council and our valuable partnership with the UNLC (National University of Los Comechingones), we are participating in specialized training in sustainability for cultural festivals, provided by Julie's Bicycle (UK). This organization is globally recognized as a leader in sustainability initiatives in the arts, allowing us to adopt international best practices.
Our positive impact and cultural relevance have been recognized at the institutional level. The festival has been declared of municipal and provincial interest in several editions, and we are currently in the process of being declared of national interest by the Argentine National Congress, reaffirming our value to the country's culture.

Merlin Jazz Festival selected with full scholarship 2026
Merlƭn Jazz Festival has been selected to receive a full scholarship to participate in the Strengthening Program for Cultural Entrepreneurship, developed by the Master's Program in Cultural Management and the Center for Social Innovation at the University of San AndrƩs, in partnership with Santander Argentina.
